In an effort to serve the professional and advance the Human Resource Profession, Rogue Valley Chapter 0234, has committed to promote PHR/SPHR certification in our local area. Applicants are required to have current SHRM member with a Rogue Valley Chapter Designation (0234). A scholarship will be awarded to one member taking the 2008 PHR or SPHR examination. A second scholarship will be awarded to one member for recertification of PHR or SPHR in 2008. A third scholarship will be awarded to one student member taking the 2008 PHR or SPHR examination. If there are no qualified applicants, the funds will be carried over until 2009.
1) Participation in either the local chapter, state, regional or national level of SHRM. For example: attending meetings, volunteering for SHRM events and/or serving on the board can achieve participation credit.
2) Contribution to local community on a business level.
Submit a letter stating why you feel you meet the scholarship criteria along
with supporting documents showing intent to take exam or receipt for examination or recertification along with your SHRM membership

Awards
$250 for PHR examination or $375 for SPHR examination
$100 for recertification for either PHR or SPHR certification
$120 for Student examination
